Allure Cape Raoul

Situated at the head of the Cape Raoul and Shipstern's Bluff/Tunnel Bay track – the final and unforgettable third leg of the world renowned Three Capes Track - lies the site of a new locally owned luxury lodge, showcasing the best of the Tasman Peninsular and Tasmania to the world.

Allure Cape Raoul is the first lodge of three proposed for Tasmania's South-East, set to have up to 20 architecturally designed villas, a signature restaurant 'Shipsterns by Allure' and the Enclave, an incredible wellness centre cantilevered over the property's stunning waterfall. Designed by Garth Ancher of Ancher Architecture, in conjunction with an almost all-Tasmanian design and consulting team, the new lodge will show off the Tasman Peninsular to the world in style.

The new lodge will be built in two stages, with the first containing 14 villas, the signature restaurant, and the enclave wellness centre, opening in 2025. The lodge will be built on an existing 120ha sheep and cattle farm which has been operated by the current owners for more than 30 years.

The experience of the guests staying at Allure Cape Raoul is intended to be nothing short of incredible. With doorstep access to world class bush walks including the Three Capes Track, the infamous Port Arthur Historic Site where the worst of the convicts were sentenced to, jaw-dropping natural wonders and some of the finest fresh local produce, wines, gin and whiskeys in the world, guest will cherish the memory of their stay for the rest of their life.

The Allure Experience team will take guests across the Tasman Peninsular, from the spectacular sunrises at Fortescue Bay, the best local fishing spots, to surfing at stunning beaches, or even wildlife spotting across the peninsular. Back at the lodge, guests can relax in the lounge, or enjoy a calming massage, whilst admiring the tranquillity of the enclave and surrounds.

Guests will also have the opportunity to experience first-hand daily life on a farm, from mustering, hay feeding and shearing, to feeding orphaned baby animals such as lambs and calves. The lodge will sustain the ongoing operation of the farm, by providing much needed supplementary income, whilst providing an authentic guest experience.

Allure Cape Raoul will also cater for larger groups, such as corporate events or weddings, with the conservatory at Shipsterns by Allure and the enclave top deck available to cater to your every need. Shipsterns by Allure will serve up the finest local produce, including vegetables, beef and lamb from the farm, providing unrivalled quality to guests. Allure aims to source all produce from the local region.

Sustainability is at the centre of the architecture, with each of the villas and Shipsterns by Allure enjoying floor to ceiling glass windows with eaves designed to capture light to warm the rooms in winter and shade the rooms in summer to reduce unnecessary heat all without compromising on the lush green view. The lodge will also be carbon neutral, with state-of-the-art air conditioning, kitchen appliances, wastewater management and LED lighting. Outside LED lighting will be installed in a way that minimises the impact on local wildlife and animals, whilst also saving electricity.

Allure is also committed to reducing general waste wherever possible. A three-bin system, waste, recycling, and organic, will be in place in every building, as well as around the property. Organic waste will be composted on site and used as fertilizer or mulch for the farm and the lodges gardens, significantly reducing both waste and methane emissions from the organic waste that would have otherwise rotten in landfill. Allure will aim to minimize plastic, with reusable drinking bottles provided for all guest and staff, whilst not supplying, or purchasing products wrapped in single use plastics, wherever possible. Combined with Tasmania's 100% renewable energy status, with the aim of doubling to 200% renewable by 2040, Allure will set a new standard for sustainability in the luxury lodge sector.

Final planning approvals are currently being obtained, with construction set to begin in 2023.
